I'm only able to get the bus speed up to 335mhz (stable). I know this board will do more then that. Here are some of my settings, AI tunning - manual, fsb unlinked, fsb-1333, mem mhz - 960, vcore voltage- 1.2625, mem voltage- 2.1, 1.2v ht voltage-auto, nb core voltage- 1.25, sb core voltage- auto, cpu vtt voltage - 1.25. Memory timings are, 5,5,5,15. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please get back to me, Thanks
Change the LDT frequency from 5x to 4x. I needed to do that to get mine to 400Mhz. Also, only change the Vcore and memory voltages, leave the rest at auto. Vcore will likely need to be around 1.4v to get 400Mhz, and your mem should be set to it's default spec voltage.
when you are setting the FSB and memory frequency in the bios, set them to unlinked, and set the FSB at 1600Mhz (Quad data rate), and your memory at 800Mhz (dual data rate) to get a 1:1 ratio.
I did what you told me to do, but dropping the ltd down to 4 didn't work. It was unstable, so I put it back up to 5 and dropped the divider down to 7, now it's stable, (sofar) Thanks for the imput cutthroat.
Well first i would like to know what you trying achieve? 3.2GHZ or what? your Voltages are 100% right, iv got the same board and got my C2D E6400 to 2.8GHZ with no issues! Iv run 3Dmark2006 and orthos with no issues! All i did was increase my CPU voltage from 1.265 to 1.3! Also my NB voltage is at 1.30! You should try not drop the CPU x because it affects your Memory Bandwidth! Try get rhe highest stable FSB with the Highest x! Also what Bios are you using, 0602 is good and 1002 is fixes a few issues as well! Regards
I'm not set on getting to a particular speed. I just want the fastest (stable) speed possible. I'm running at 435 fsb now, or 3.94 gbz. My puter does freeze every once in awhile now. Well, it's not your typical freeze. The mouse does not freeze, but I don't have access to closing windows, or anything really. I don't know, it's weird. I've never had this done before. thanks for the reply
