Some times when I boot up I get a message "Cannot creat shell notification
icon", this doesn't always happen. When I click on "ok" it dissapears and
the system seems to work as normal. Is this a problem to wory about.

Download from www.lavasoftusa.com Ad-aware SE and perform a scan for spyware. Scan also for viruses.

Start>Run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Go to "Startup" tab. Perhaps, some of the programs there (those charged at startup) is the culprit.

Boot into Safe Mode and run the scans there.

Frank

I have done that and will have to wait and see if it fixes the problem. The
trouble is that it happens infrequently, sometimes weeks apart. I will let
you know if it happens again or in a week if it doesn't.
