Its a new hard drive i got today.. and when i try to install windows xp it goes fine but when the formatting gets to 100% it says setup was unable to format..Disk may be damaged.. so im not sure what it could be?.. IDE cable? can someone help me please.. thanks....

weird.. it somehow got past this part.. and after the reboot.. it says disk read error .. what to do now.. i am currently trying to whole process over..

after multiple boots .. i just started to switch the IDE cables.. thinking maybe they were bad.. somehow it got to a disk read error. at the startup.. strangely i switched to anohter cable and it worked..yeah !
