Any archive (rar, zip) program that uses both cores?

Are there any archive programs that will use 2 or more cores? SEems like Winrar, tugzip and others i have tried will nax out at 50% cpu usage im assuming htis is because they are only using one core.

Or do i need to move to a new OS for this feature? im using XP pro 32bit.

More about archive program cores
  1. The Winrar v3.6 readme has the following section in it:

Multithreaded version of RAR compression algorithm improves
the compression speed on computers with several CPU,
dual core CPU and processors with hyperthreading technology.
Multithreading is enabled by default, but you can disable it
in "General" part of "Settings" dialog.

In the command line mode you can control multithreading with
    -mt switch.

Haven't tried it myself though ....
