I seem to have run into an odd problem (actually an annoyance rather than a problem)

Whenever I reboot my computer, Vista can't seem to keep my desktop icons arranged the way I want it.

And whenever I launch World of Warcraft, it keeps going to a server I used to play on and not the last character I played. In addition, it can't remember any of my settings (I disable the sound so I can hear my friends over Ventrilo).

But WoW is not the only offender. UT2004 can't seem to remember ANY of my settings (character skin, name, connection type, graphics settings, etc.)

Anybody seem to know whats causing this?
