I'd like do get some info on power factor and psu's. My main concern is hardware performance, and If a psu has a lousy PF rating like 60% does that affect hardware performance or is it just that your paying $1 for 60cents of electricity. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Anthony.

Yeah, see the sticky.

The best PSUs out there will make you pay 1$ for 85 cents of electricity. A lot of others will be between 65 and 85. The worst ones will just blow up your computer, making sure it doesn't consume that much electricity

I think you mean efficiency, typically US residents are not charged extra for low power factor ratios - commercial/industrial power meters measure PF and are reflected on the utility bill.
