I've been having really wierd freezes lately. My computer will boot normally, and in windows, at any given time windows will stop recognizing my mouse. What I mean is that I can still move my mouse but when i hold it over soft buttons they dont look like they can be pushed. Also when I click the right and left mouse buttons windows does nothing. I know its not a complete freeze because i can still move the mouse around and the little green activity bars in my wireless signal in the taskbar still light up but the mosue does nothing. Also control-alt-delete will not do anything because when i click that task manager comes up but is also nonresponsive.

I am using the microsoft wireless desktop 6000 and have disabled the itype and ipoint software that it comes with because I thought that was the culprit. It was not. Neither was zonealarm. Everything works fine in safe mode.

If anyone has had any similar problems please let me know. I do not want to a reinstall if I dont have to.

In safe mode, did you check the device manager to see if there any devices it can detect that are having problems?

Did you also check the event view to see what problems it maybe having?
