Can someone give me a good idea of how hard I should have to press the lever down to lock in an e4300 into a Gigabyte DS3 motherboard?

I have the processer aligned properly but it seems like I'll crush the processor when I lower the lever.

Also, should the sides of the cage have slight indents in them?

thanks

What bothers me more is how hard you have to push to get the last clip on using the stock Intel cooler.

As long as the CPU fits in the socket correctly with the "o" & "triangle" in the correct orientation (should fit in only one way), just use enough force to secure the lever on the side of the socket.
