I am thinking of buying an Antec Solo for my new computer. It's a fantastic looking case, in my opinion. But I think that putting a DVD drive into it is going to ruin it's clean lines, so I want to stealth the DVD drive.

I didn't get any response in the "PSU, Case, Case Mod" category, so I thought I'd try you guys over here... seems to be a more chatty forum. And since this is going to be part of my new build, it sort of fits here.

I have seen many references to taking the bay cover and essentially just taping it to the drive tray. Thought this would work, I want to find a better solution. I'm not sure that it would look that great and I want a better solution to hitting the drive button than just pressing in a corner of the bay cover.

Has anyone use Lian Li's drive covers on a non-Lian Li case? I may try this first. I'm worried about colour matching though.

Using the bay cover, in some way, would probably be ideal because it will match the case perfectly. I was thinking of trying to mount it on tiny spring hinges. Also installing a small push button to match up with the DVD eject button. Problem is finding the parts.

Anyone else have any ideas?

not sure about the cover part but you can use the OS to eject the disk. I know sometimes it won't work just something to think about.

alcattle, thanks for that. But, the issue is more with getting a clean finish on the cover. i know i can make something work with the eject button.

But ideas for making a "clean" cover elude me.
