I know that both of these two types of processors aren't even out.We might see them in 08 or even early 09 but what do you think will be good for gaming?

How general of a question can you ask?
Of course they will be faster then todays processors in some way or another, so they will be able to do calculations faster... How much more do you need to know?

It's a question and also speculate on what would be better that's about it.

One would assume Nehalem will be better than Penryn, for obvious reasons.

What is there to speculate? 2008 > 2007

Penryn will be alot faster than conroe and Nahelam will be alot much faster than conroe. Wait for Nahelam if you want alot much faster performance. If you just want alot faster performance, then get a Penryn.

I hope this helps.
