DVD-Cloner 4 Resolution problems

I just burned my first dvd using this program and it was smooth and easy. When the burn was complete i checked to see if the movie worked. The movie had menus/previews and everything ran fine. but the quality was grainy and blotchy. The original dvd was smooth and crisp like a dvd should be. The dvd rw disc i used was a memorex 4.7gb brand new disc. Also whats the difference between d5 and d9 because the program chose d5.
