More Information

Heya,

I recently built a PC for a friend with a Gigabyte DS3 and a WD Raptor drive. My question is: does having the raptor in SATA IDE mode affect its performance? Should it be run in either SATA AHCI or SATA RAID mode? (involves the F6 installation method for windows)

Any help would be much appreciated. I read on the Gigabyte website that their JMicron2 chipset doesn't support NCQ if that makes a difference?
