Nvidia rolls out nForce 590 SLI chipset

In a day of dueling chipset announcements, Nvidia has rolled out its new nForce 590 SLI MCP chipset. The chipset comes with built-in QoS for gaming traffic and Nvidia's "LinkBoost" which increases PCIe bus speeds with certain video cards. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and a RAID 5 SATA controller are also integrated. Read more

Nvidia disputes Dell XPS 700 customer assertions of inaccurate parts list

As Dell customer forum members tell the story, at least some customers awaiting their XPS 700 shipments are being told by customer service representatives that last-minute modifications to the on-board Nvidia nForce 590 chipset - not a fix to the cooling assembly - are to blame. I don't trust these auto overclocking programs. I have seen nTune overclock the pci/agp bus, which is a big no no. Do your research! That is the best thing that I can tell you. Read as many "how-to" articles on overclocking and do your overclocking manually in the bios.
