My son got battlefield 2142 for his B-day. It is on dvd and will not install on his computer.
Autorun does nothing. Double clicking on setup.exe produces a pop up that says setup.exe is not a win32 application.
I have another game on dvd that does the same in his computer.
I have updated the firmware in the dvd drive, and that does not help.
Both dvd games install in another computer.
I moved his dvd drive to another computer, and both games install with no problem.
His computer is running XP home and the computer that they work in is running XP pro.
I have emailed tech support (LG), but it has been a week and they have not responded.
I doesn't appear to me to be a hardware problem.
Any ideas?

what CD/DVD burning software do you have installed?

The burning software on the computer it works on is Nero 5.
On the computer that it doesn't work on, it is Nero 6.
