I know this is off topic but i didn't know where to post it so:
Hey guys, im looking to buy a new G5, recently I came into something interesting. The Silver G5 here is only 40 dollars(30 USD)
http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=012288&cid=PE.124
While the Original G5 is 70 (58 USD)
http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=008118&cid=PE.124
I called canada computers and they said it is exactly the same thing other then the paint....So my question is, are they hiding something? is it a bit worse or different in anyway ( Dont care about looks) Thank you.

Look the same to me. Some new ones have an extra button on the side, IIRC. But the new one is not pictured in either ad.

I have the more expensive one pictured. $20, open box at Best Buy. I love it. $40 is a good price.

I just got a Razer Death Adder and couldn't be happier. I guess it depends on what kind of mouser you are. I don't have small hands, but when I tried a G5 in the store, it felt like I was trying to maneuver a brick around on the mousepad. The G5 and most other logitech mice are ment for people who mouse with their palm resting completely on the mouse. The Death Adder and most other Razer mice are built for people who mostly use their fingertips only to control the mouse. This method allows me for more control and faster movement (at least in my opinion, but I've tried both ways).

Think about what kind of mouser you are before you buy one. I got this piece of advice when I was looking around for mice, and I hadn't even thought about it untill then. I'm glad I did because its helped me a great deal in choosing one, and I thought I'd pass it along. Hope it helps.

Sorry to derail this topic abit, but anyway, to answer your question; it's most likely just a different paint job :)
