Hard Drives freeze in boot up. Help please.
I have Vista Ultimate on one hard drive and XP Pro on another. It doesn't matter which drive I boot up it freezes eventaully. Normally durring boot up. It just started doing this this afternoon. Worked fine this morning.

Is it a motherboard issue?
a CPU issue?
or a power supply issue?

What did you change?

Try un-plugging everything but the monitor, keyboard, and mouse while booting and reset the BIOS settings to default. Might want to check internal connections also.

Also try clearing the CMOS, directions on how to do this will either be in your motherboard manual or the manual that came with the company. Also can find it on the mfg website
