PC really loud

After my liquid cooling gave out I got a heatsink for the CPU and it is ridiculously loud. When I close the door to my room you can still hear it.

Is there any way to turn it down?

exactly what cooler do you have?

Go into the bios and see if you have one of those quiet fan settings. I changed mine and it made a huge difference. I forget what it was called, Q-fan or something.
