I can't seem to get my computer to detect my headphones through the front audio panel of my case.

The GeForce6100SM-M has HD Audio, and I believe what is supposed to happen is that when I plug in my headphones, the rear audio output is disabled. The problem is that when I plug in my headphones, nothing happens. My computer still says that my headphones are not plugged in.

This is on Vista, and I'm pretty sure that I plugged the connectors into the motherboard correctly.

Does anyone know what's going on. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
