Chose 700+, willing to, and any (whatever has the best fpu).

I wouldn't expect anything less considering the wealth in your family.

I currently chose $150, willing, AMD & Intel

The only reason I would buy a VIA CPU is if I went ahead and built something for the TV (Tivo, home entertainment, etc), but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

LOL... I agree with you on that and there are a lot of posts here that proof it.

Anyway I voted $100 but $150 would also do, willing, AMD (not Intel with their current CPU).

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dimms when I turn it on :eek:

$100 or less, willing, AMD generally, althought I did build Pentium 2 and 3 systems for my dad's office

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...

I'm willing to pay up to $300US ($450CDN) on a processor. It doesn't matter what the brand is as long is it's fast and stable. I bought my P4 2.26GHz when it was in that price range last summer.
