XP Memory Glut

I have 3 gigs of memory on XP. When running certain software I do use almost all of it, but most of the time it is "just sitting there rotting". Is there anything I can do to configure XP to make use of all that RAM?

so you wanna utilize your ram when you don't need it? Umm, I guess you could look through the distributed computing projects and find one thats memory intensive....I wouldnt tho

ram may become obsolete, but I doubt that it will rot from lack of use.
if you really want to use it then run some from of prime.

on a real note, if you have free resources on you computer you could dedicate it them to medical research. Hospitals and Universities are using home computers to calculate something within DNA to help quire diseases.
Its a good thing to do, if you have extra ram.
