Computer Newb-help plz? Virus/worm/something killing PC

Ok this thing that popped up when i was talking with my friend on MSN . It was a link called "ratemynuts"

Effects:

-Cannot Access regedit
-Cannot access Internet
-Pops up whenever talking over MSN
-link is attached to my friends emaildress Example"ratemynuts@friend.msn.com"
-link leads absolutley no where
-Cannot Access system restore

Any help to get rid of it?

if you can't access the internet how do talk to yoru friends over msn?

do you have an anti virus?

Run an updated ant ivirus scan, if you don't have an anti virus program, get free AVG. Then in Safe Mode run AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy, both free.
