CPU Utilisation

hi i have this kind of problem.. im encoding video with multithreaded divx on dual core x3800+ am2. bet the task manager shows that the encoding takes about 65% up to 72% of processor. i also have 1gb ddr2 , and pretty fast 40Gbyte seagate .and i know that the hard disks speed is not maxed out because when encoding i can still load other programs and files smoothly . what could be the problem. how can i make divx use 100% of my cpu?

Do you have virus scan enabled? This can greatly increase IO latency, and keep your encoder waiting for data.
