I'm working on a computer upgrade, and I was wondering, through this, is there a workaround for "F6 -> Please insert floppy to install SATA drivers"?

I've heard there are motherboards that don't require this. I've also heard that Windows XP SP2 (the CD version) has these drivers integrated. Is this true?

Following this question, would any of you recommend installing Windows XP 64 for this build? (And again...what about the integrated SATA drivers?)

Any info is apprecinato. Thanks! :)

There a way to do this in Windows XP, read it a number of years ago but don't remember the details. Check the Support Section of the Microsoft Site, pretty sure it's on there somewhere

I have read up all I could find. But I heard that "[F6] to install SATA drivers" could be eliminated if using an alternate version of XP, or on certain motherboards.

Is anyone familiar with this? Any info is apprecinato. Thanks!
