I have been at it for a few hours now and Knoppix 5.11 still wont detect my wireless card.

When I use the network cable it works fine.....really bugging me.

Here's what I have been doing.

I go to the command line and type... in wlcardconfig it says no wireless card detected,in ifconfig and iwconfig nothing happens at all goes back to desktop.

I have messed around with kwlan but nothing is supported

Here is my laptop its only 4 weeks old

So can anyone help me.

Would I be better off with back track or something.

I really liked Knoppix :cry:

The link you provided does not seem to work.

Knoppix is really great but it cannot possibly support all wireless chipsets especially since many wireless chipsets are hostile to Linux and other open source OSes.

I would recommend an installable distro like Ubuntu or Fedora with NDISwrapper if your wireless chipset is not supported natively.

and post the output here or PM it to me.

Another option would be to remaster your Knoppix CD or DVD and include the driver ( s ) and NDISwrapper and other software.
