Hello,

Does anyone know if you can install vista or windows XP on a raid 5 array? I know write performance will suffer, but I did not know if this was possible.

I am not even sure if the nVidia raid controller on the ASUS M2N32 is software or a hardware controller. I am new to raid, so any help would be appriciated.

Yes, you can install Vista or Windows XP on RAID 5, but you need a minimum of 3 hard drives.
