OK, my computer has decided to do a trick it hasn't done in a while.
The computer refused to open any .exe files except for outlook and firefox. When I try to open any other program I get a 'Windows cannot open this file' message followed by a prompt to either send me to a website or select the program from a list to open it with.

This problem has happened to me before and I solved it by doing a reinstall. However this is a time consuming process and I really don't have the time do be doing it, so, does anyone know of a quick fix to my problem?

copy and paste that into notepad then save it as "fixexe.reg" with the quotes ;) then click and add it to registry.

thanks for the tip, however i cant even open notepad or regedit....
