I know they don't release something based on this technique tomorrow, but why couldn't that change in the near future?

Not processors but printed Circuits :oops: got me all confused now.

If it's already so difficult to make something at 45nm with current techniques and somebody invents 15nm, why wouldn't that have an impact on what is used 2-3 years from now?

That would be a nifty piece of technology if it can be put to practical use.Maybe even make processors derived from the technology itself.

The tool consists of a module that fits into a mask aligner. The module is used to create the patterns for wires and transistors on a substrate.

There are some key words highlighted there... This is not for printed circuits. It is for the creation of ICs.

15nm was done years ago in labs. So was X-Ray Lithography.
