I'm having serious problems with my graphics card driver. The version I downloaded off the NVIDA site crashed my system, and the current one I downloaded off the ASUS site is screwing my display. It also occasionally freezes after boot.

The screen shimmers up and down, and its difficult to read text on.

I've changed the display resolution, downloaded the Monitor driver, turned off hardware acceleration, and tried everything I can think of. It works fine during boot, and during safe mode, but thats it.

Heres my system:
VGA ASUS EN8800GTX/HTDP/768M R
SCEPTRE|LCD 22" Monitor 2MSX22WG-1080P

ASUS MOTHERBOARD P5N32-E SLI NF680I 775
CPU INTEL|C2D E6600 2.4G 775 4M R
MEM 1Gx2|CORSAIR TWIN2X2048-5400c4
HD 500G|WD 7K 16M SATA2 WD5000AAKSH
PSU TT|W0106RU 700W RT

I'm not currently overclocking, and I have the current motherboard drivers off of ASUS. Please help.

Do you use XP or Vista? Also do you get a blue screen after/during bootup or just simply freezes?
I suggest you download the official driver for 8800GTX from the nvidia site:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Intall it in safe mode, then restart...

You may want to try a driver cleaner or driver sweep after you uninstall the videocard.
