I have the same ram here. Mine clocks to 355 MHz on cl5, and wont boot any higher, not even at cl6.

So with your 7X multiplyer, you will not go much over 2.4 GHz. Maybe if your lucky, you're getting 2.5/2.6 GHz, but not any higher. Unless you wil increase your voltage, but, since it Value ram, thats not the smartest thing to do

You can say that again. haha. AT least the mobo is a good overclocker. You will not want to OC that ram at all and just hope it gets you an ok FSB speed. You may want to consider selling it for some good stuff. or even just ok stuff like some gskill or something. I think their 2gb kit with 5-5-5-5-15 is under $100 on newegg now. Anyways you will max out with 333mhz FSB on that ram if it doesnt blow up which it probably wont. bascially the stock FSB is 266mhz. Your CPU has a multiplier of x8 which gives you 266 x 8 = 2.13GHz. If you clock your fsb to 333 it would give you 2.66MHz but the reason you can't go beyond this is because at a 1:1 memory ration your memory would top out at 333 x 2 = 666Mhz. This is where DDR2 800 would be great because at 1:1 you can get 400 fsb and hit the 800mhz mark. Taht would give your CPU an OC of 3.2GHz. Just remember once you start bumping up your cpu voltageyou will need better than stock cooling. You can try the value ram and see what happens. 2.66 would be ok on stock cooling and most likely stock voltage.

Good luck. ask questions

You can also have a look in the nearby computer shop. They will probebly have some 800 MHz ram with cl5 timings. Or even better, with cl4 timings.
Names like Gskill or OCZ are pretty good, and mostly for a very low price if you look to what they are capable of.... So, first have a look at your local pc store, cause of the prices of shiping your products...

Your CPU has a multiplier of x8

We're talking about an E6320, not the E6420... the E6420 has an multiplier of X8, the E6320 has an multiplier of X7... [/code]
