Requesting information on getting intel to replace broken cpu fan.

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with getting a broken cpu fan replaced by intel. It's brand new, it worked once, but then immediately broke. Are they good about replacing it? How long does it usually take to get a new one, because I don't want to wait too long. Is it worth it just to go out and buy a cheap one? Thanks a lot in advance.

I think you're better off buying a new one if only to prove the old one didn't fail for lack of power from the motherboard. Knowing how slowly the large companies react to complaints, it's the quickest way forward and if you wait eeks for a replacement and the fault is in your motherboard or PSU, you'll have wasted your own time.
