is it only ultimate version is running 64-bit windows? or others like home premium also can upgrade 32-bit version through microsoft web? i just bought my new comp and i have no idea whether to go for vista or not. i'm planning to get a home premium but i heart my friend said only ultimate is using 64-bit ..is it true? (i had read articles said it can be upgraded to 64-bit) however, if the vista i using is still running 32-bit, then whats the different between vista and xp? my spec:
c2d e6600
2gb pc667 ddr2
Gigabyte 965p-s3
Gigabyte 8800gts 320mb
Ultimate is the only version (I think) that ships with 64 bit as well as 32 bit in the same box. The other versions require that you request 64 bit separately when you purchased the 32 bit. I think it costs $10 to ship from MS.
i see.. thanks. but then if i'm using 32-bit vista, whats the diff with windows xp? i mean does it still support directx 10? and is vista 32-bit will be much stable than window xp? i don't see a point to change to vista 32-bit from windows xp.. because it's still base on 32-bit operation..? and..is there improvement if i play dx9 game on vista? or only the dx10 game will see the differences?
p/s: this comp probably will stay wif me for at leat 2 years long so i still considering which one to go for...
