i heard that vista won't allow you to use limewire and other filesharing programs?
is this true? can someone confirm this?
I don't know if I would trust anyone's opinion if I really needed to know. The home page clearly states that it is "Compatible with ALL operating system." And it's really easy to just go to their web-site and look for a FAQ or ask support.
sorry, I do have several Vista systems but I only do domains and one workgroup, no p2p.
Most everyone sells premium/ultimate at msrp - a few have token discounts (try tigerdirect or zipzoomfly) but unless you are going oem you'll have to pay the price. you can get premium for ~$110 but only oem and it has a few restrictions - go to newegg and look at one of the oem packages - there should be a link to an MS site that talks about oem (basically it is for a new, single system installation).
P2P works with Vista - I have no idea why someone would say it wouldn't unless if they aren't a Vista user. Definitely, do not use that individual for any more PC information.
You know the saying, "A person is smart, people are dumb," some people are retards. Limewire works perfectly in Vista. Been using it a week after Vista was released to the public.
