You won't be able to do it through the BIOS.

However, I read a forum recently where a Dell owner used this

http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php

to overclock his box with success. His was AMD though.

Dude you got a Dell?!??! If you had come here first we probably could have helped you build a better PC. Btw what model is it?

yeah well, i was young and needed a computer :D
its a dimension 5k or so i think, cant see it right now...
anyhow, if i buy myself a new mobo and install all the gadgets from the dell on it like the memory, vga card, hard drive etc. would the OS still run?
cos then all i need is a mobo

You're stuck with what you got. Don't even try to OC it. Just build a new rig if you want to overclock.

Try pinmodding to 166 fsb/3.33GHz. It may work. If you need more voltage, I'm sure a vcore pinmod will work. I wouldn't go any higher than that on a Dell though.

yeah, ive had a look at pinmodding but dont really know what im doin there so ill research it first.
Ive decided to build myself a new rig anyway and use the dell for work, what overclocking mobo's would u guys advise on?
