Hey there guys,
I currently have a system running XP Pro serving as a P2P server for 8 PC's.

If i were to purchase server 2003, is it possible to pop the CD in, let the autorun kick in and go for an upgrade process which will retain all existing printers, data, file security, users etc or is there no upgrade path from XPP? IE will it have to be a clean install?

Quick google and MS KB searches were pretty fruitless....

Cheers guys :)

According to MS, only previous versions of Server can be upgraded.

2-3 hours max to get the thing all setup and everything you need reinstalled. Shouldn't take too much longer than that.
