It just now hit me like so much cream pie in the face... All the usual
game places have something called PSO I&II Plus listed for release at the
end of August, as a Gamecube exclusive. Is this the same Plus Pack upgrade
that was released in Japan, or at least a similar expansion to the
original game? Sorry if it's old news, but I've been out of the loop and
we need some on-topic discussion on both these groups. :)

Somewhat related... Is it just me, or is Sega pretty much abandoning the
Xbox version of PSO at this point? The American web pages seem to treat
PSO as having been available only on Dreamcast and Gamecube; all mention
of the title (and the USB keyboard adapter) seem to have been expunged
from the site. You can't even download the Xbox version manual from their
PDF section, and that page has still has every last first-party Dreamcast
manual available for download.

Glad I picked up a copy of the Xbox version, although it's useless without
an Xbox Live account. I consider it a ten-dollar investment in future Sega
gaming. :)

-KKC, king of the discount video game shoppers. Ask me about my fifteen
dollar copy of Herzog Zwei or my free Game Gear TV Adapter some day. :)

From all indications, it looks like the same plus pack that was released in
Japan.

The game just kind of suddenly appeared on Sega's website. You haven't missed
out on to much.

US PSO XBox has always been poorly supported. It is always one of the last
online environments to receive quests or challenges.

I'm sure Henry could say more about the sorry state of affairs on PSOXUS.

If you want the manual for PSOX, go here:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/pso2/gamemanual.htm

Perhaps Sega is not allowed to put up XBox Live direction booklets on their
website.

I picked up Herzog Zwei for $5 mint in sealed box from a gameshop back in the
early 90s. =p

$15? Heh, I got mine for free! Erm, if it ever gets to me that is. ;)

Nope, I never renewed my Hunter's License.

Bel and Rob wanted to try it again for a month or so, but I
popped PSO back in offline to give it a try before committing
and found that I just couldn't go back. I never even played
much of 1 & 2 Plus on the Cube.

Avatar Tuner tommorrow. Now that I'll play :)
