Silent/fanless cards plus other questions..

Hi, im putting togther a machine for music production but want a reasonable GPU for a few games too. Can anyone give me list of decent midrange fanless GPUs and any recommendations.

A second question... when running normal windows apps not using 3d graphics, will the GPU run very cool? if so I could possible employ a variable fan and turn it down for music making where the noise is annoying.

A 3rd question.. to any cards support 3 displays at once or would I need two cards side by side? If so, would I need a special motherboard?

Ill check out the 7600GT - it looks around about the right price range for me. Im pretty new to the world of graphics cards.. could anyone tell me the what differences there are between cards sporting the same chips but by different manufacturers (apart from amount of memory). The cost difference can be quite large between manufacturers.

I´ll have a look into the matrox multi display cards too.. I only have 2 displays now but they are so cheap now that a third is very tempting. Just a question of finding desk space!

At $168 it seems expensive compared to other 7600GT cards (some are around $110). I dont know much about graphics cards though.. can anyone tell me if there is much difference between the different cards using the same chipsets and memory?

My other option is to buy a regular GPU and then a seperate GPU heatsink such as this:

But it is pretty steep!

Can anyone give me any advice?
