1- ATi Tool 0.27 b1 (Recommended), RivaTuner v2.01, nVIDIA nTune 5.05.38.00.
You can Download them from here.
2-I don't think you need a new cooler unless you want to volt mode it :!:
3-It's a right score for your system but overall 3DMark is not a good thing for testing your Graphics card's power but as Prozac told me when i asked the same question with my X1900XTX : "If you can't sleep because of 3DMark's score try to overclock your CPU a bit" & believe me he was right!
by the way, you have the XXX version of the XFX 8600GT series graphics cards, so i wouldn't overclock that card any more if i were you unless you want to get rid of it!

I did the the same with ntune, because other soft don't work on vista x64. The temp at those clock are 55c idle, and 70c load. My default score with stock xxx edition was 47xx and with those oc it jump me to 56xx. At those temp you dont need an other heatsink/fan for your card, unless you want to push up your oc, you may need it.

That's right. It's a bit random IMO. Also, the OP has a 820D, so the score is right. His score will go up in 3DMark, but game framerates might stay same.

In gaming, it will do fine, especially when overclocked. :)

hehee I have that same card, optimal clock is 715, but I keep it at 700 due to instability at higher speeds. Namely artifacts randomly everywhere. I hope this is caused by beta drivers and maybe it will improve. I'm actually getting another of the same card this weekend to SLI it up,

Really? 8O
You are building a 8600GT SLI system?
Man, that would be madness!
Get an ATI X1950XT or 8800GTS 320MB instead!
Oh God...Why people always think like that? :(
