Hey

I built my first PC back in November after faithfully buying Dell's and Gateway PCs - a lot cheaper definately and not too hard to build - had a slight problem with the fan coming with the Core Duo not attaching properly and overheating but i bought another fan and now its fitted and working fine.

My specs are...

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Socket 775 2.4GHz
Asustek S775 Intel P965 ATX Audio Lan
XFX GeForce 8800GTX 768MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI TVo
Samsung 250GB S300 7200RPM 8MB
Corsair TwinX 2GB DDR2 6400 C4
Clabs X-Fi Xtreme Music Card
600W SEASONIC S12-600
Arctic Cool. Freezer7Pro s775
Antec P180 Case
Samsung DVD+-R/RW/RAM 18x IDE Retail Black

I use the PC mainly for gaming, and with the above components I would expect near perfect performance. However I get jerkovision with both LOTRO and Oblivion. I have a 19' flat screen sony monitor max resolution 1280x 1024 so the resolution isnt maxed out. I *think* i've connected everything... so i'm not sure whether its BIOS settings, NVidia drivers or something acting as a bottleneck - that's not giviing me the performance i would expect.
I havent overclocked the system at all - temperatures (according to Ntune and the Asus software) are low - ill double check them when i get home.

Just wondering if anyone had a suggestions or tips ?

Thanks very much
