Anyone ran into this problem where the subtitles for movies in .ogm and .mkv files and some times even softsub .avi files don't show up. I've installed k-lite codec pack, CCCP codec pack and vobsub but no luck.

Do you have this problem with all movies with those extensions or just some of them? Were they created by you? Are they all from the same source? Some bad codecs translations leave off the subtitles when they go through their translation process during creation, especially if the hardware is not up to par (too little hd, processor, memory) for creating media files. You might also get picture/sound not being in sync as well.
