sorry for another raid or not question but i am configure a computer for someone. they want windows vista, and i am stuck on the hard drive.

should i get 1 drive? so the person doesn't have to worry about backup and data loss? or set them up raid? first i was thinking about going with the raid build, but i was worried if anything was to happen to all his work data, he's be pretty steamed. just a single drive would be the best bet right? i don't think the load time for windows vista will be doubled if i used a single drive right?

for myself at home, i'm thinking about using raid with hitachi deskstars

ditto. i haven't seen anyone ask about raid who actually needed or could benefit from it in these forums. most are people who hear raid is "cool" and think they want it.

if you DO need raid, you are already well versed in it and shouldn't need to ask "should i or shouldn't i" questions.
