Overclocking

Hi ive never overclocked a card before is it safe?
What i mean is if i stick to using the software supplied with the card it wont go bang? or is there always a risk involved.
The card is a His x1650xt iceQ Turbo.

Yes there is always a risk involved, but if you know what you're doing it is minimal.

Download ATI Tray Tools. Use the find max mem/gpu and it will give you a uber high number. During the test you should monitor temperatures and artifacts yourself, because the software sometimes doesn't do its job correctly.

Set your overclocked speeds to something well below the max ATT gives you, between 50% and 70% of the difference.
