WAV to Mp3 Converter

Anyone know of a good converter for WAV to Mp3? I found heaps with google but they look a bit dodgy. Just wanna know if anyone knows a good one. Possibly a free one.

use the rip feature I think its been a while but if you put your CD in your CD player then direct wmp to that CD then rip and choose mp3.

I think that is it if I recall correctly

Nah not that. The files are already ripped to WAV. I want to go from WAV to Mp3.

I don't think you can do that in Media Player. If you know how, then how about some steps. Otherwise, any other ideas?

you can try gx transcoder or audacity, they do that for you and are free. gx seems to be the more talked about one

I have Audacity. That only does one at a time, right? I want something that i can just line up all my tracks and convert. Does gx transcoder do that?

Why not use iTunes and in Options set it to import files as .mp3, then import the directory?

Yes i did go to the link. GX Transcoder looks awesome! I can't believe i haven't heard of that before. It converts almost anything.
I just didn't download it straight away cause i only have dial-up, so its gonna take a little while.

Actually, what would be the best one to download? 3.20, 3.00, 2.24 or 4.00? It says only 2.24 does video as well, which could be useful too. Do they all do audio the same?
