When you posted this, was your giggle a high pitched one, kinda like the a little girl might sound (hehehe) or was it more like a pig squeal?

Vista has given New Zealand more attention than eating lamb and wearing knitwear ever did, all thanks to this guy :)

So, are you getting like paid by this guy or something? Wtf??

64 Bit will be taken seriously now that MS and the big Linux distros have decided to end 32 bit support after 2010. For MS, Longhorn should be the last 32 bit supported OS that they produce for either desktop or server.

No wonder Vista is such a bloated pig. Maybe Vista will never be as fast or as efficient as XP....

probably not, Win31 was never as fast as dos either.

...at least you'll still be able to buy Vista next year.

Not the same article.... AGAIN?!?!??

*Sigh*

If you think Vista x64 has a severe shortage of certified drivers... may I suggest that you also take a look at XP Pro x64? I'll guarantee that Vista x64 support is much better than XP Pro x64... and furthermore, XP Pro x64 support is growing because of Vista x64. It took Vista's release for Logitech to finally release 64-bit drivers for their webcams.

As far as I'm concerned, this is a non-issue. I've said it before and I'll say it again... 64-bit support is slow right now, but it is picking up and I'd predict that by the end of the year, almost every major vendor will have 64-bit drivers available for their hardware.

I am going to buy Vista with my new system next week, but I have to admit that the DRM issue with Vista makes me a bit upset. That they would sacrifice so much functionality, speed and efficiency for a vain attempt at copy protection is sad.

The DRM "issue" seems to have been vastly overstated as well... there are far fewer problems than predicted.
