24 pin 20+4

the motherboard im getting supports 24pin, and the power supply i want is 20+4

is there a way i can get it to work? an adapter or something? or do i have to get a 24 pin?

First you delete the double post.

20+4 = 24;
The 20+4 cable from the power supply that you are considering will fit into the 24-pin connection on your motherboard. 20+4 is the manufacturers way of saying that the last four pins on one side of the cable are detachable and the cord will work with 20-pin and 24-pin motherboards.
