I have a Toshiba Satellite that i was in the porcess of installing Win2k on. It got all the way through formatting and when the PC rebooted, my drive would not spin up anymore (what a coincidence eh?)
So now I have a dead laptop since it has no OS on it yet. I connected an external dvd drive to the laptop via USB to start over, except when i try to enter setup, it gets all the way through loading drivers to "starting Windows 2000" then comes up with a Stop Error - Inaccesible Boot Device.
Ive tried this with Windows 2000 and Windows 2000 SP4 setup, as well as a disc for Advanced Server 2000.
DELL Optiplex GX260 (IDE) and
DELL Optiplex GX520 (SATA)
Same blue screen of death on both after Starting Windows 2000: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
I think we need an appropriate F6 setup disk for our Storage Controller because 2000 doesn't recognize it... but I can't find one that works for the life of me.
