I recently installed Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition. Are there any unnecessary services, etc that i can stop/disable to make Vista run a bit better? I already disabled SuperFetch though.

Do a search on "Vista services to disable". You will find many, many websites that will break down what the individual services do and which can be safely disabled for what you want to do. I would also suggest looking into your startup apps and verifying that only the ones you want are starting on bootup.
