Hey guys, I bought the x1950 XT SAPPHIRE edition. I was told recently that it gets insanely hot, there fore crashes, is loud and all these bad things.....This worries me very much....Is this all true? I am using the Sapphire stock cooling (red, big fan, ninja girl) Or am i being too paranoid.

As i remember, my MSI RX1900XTX was louder than a Harrier jet & i could easily made Tea & Coffee on it(~110c) & these were the reasons for its replacement! :(

Mine is overclocked on the stock cooler to 700mhz and I don't have heat problems. And it is hot in this house. On games like BF2 it can hit about 80 and then on ATI tool stress test it hits about 90C. Which is still not to bad for this gpu. If you don't overclock it will be below these. It can be kinda loud but it's definitely not loud enough to interrupt the sound of your games. I have never crashed before because of heat.

I have a Sapphire x1950xt. It doesn't get very loud at all. Currently my system is not in a case, its on my desk right beside me. Even running Oblivion with high settings the fan doesn't get very loud. The card does get hot but I haven't experienced any crashes or artifacting...

Iv only got the single slot sapphire cooler on my x1950 pro ( i know its not XT, but still). Its pretty damn quite and fairly cool (47 idel, 73 gaming, 80 stress test)
