Ok I have no problem connecting to the internet however I constantly get this message while surfing the net. No Connection to the internet is currently available. To view internet content that has been saved on your computer, click work offline. Click TRY AGAIN to connect or WORK OFFLINE try agian.
HOW DO I GET THIS MESSAGE TO STOP TURNING UP??? my internet connection is fine and I have know idea what to do

Check your connection settings in IE... make sure that "Never Dial a Connection" is checked off. Then, click on LAN settings and ensure that "Automatically Detect Settings" is UNchecked. I believe that should help.

Do you have a router? If not, try setting your NIC's local IP address to something in this range: 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.255. See if that helps at all.

Try ensuring your router is set to DHCP server and all comps connected to it have tcpip4 set to auto IP and DNS.
If you wish to opt for static IP's, make sure DHCP is off on the router and assign a unique IP to all comps, but then you have to enter a valid DNS address. You need at least one, but two is better. You can use US government-sanctioned DNS', or you can use overseas ones to ensure a greater range of search engine hits. It also helps to use non US-sanctioned search engines to avoid potentially blocked sites.
Also, if you want unilateral file access across all PC's on your network, make sure NetBIOS is enabled on all.

I reset my cable modem and router and the problem is gone 8)
