Iv got a Gateway MT6705 laptop with Windows Vista Pre Installed and I dont like it one bit.
But when I went to install Windows XP Professional SP2 It says No hard drive found. It has 120Gb SATA hard drive installed using a Intel SATA Controller.

during install you need to install the controller drivers for your mombo then it will see it
