I'm trying to downgrade from Vista to XP MCE and when I boot from the CD when windows starts to setup installation at the end of the initalization of all the drivers it gives me the BSOD; this is before I format or do anything.

Any advice?

Being a social science major, I tend to give individuals the benefit of the doubt and just assume they're new and don't know what is needed. On the other hand, I believe that human beings as a species are generally stupid and ignorant.

For some weird reason Windows XP didn't want to work from my CD Burner that is set to master. So I had to boot the CD from my slave (my DVD Drive) and then it all worked. I did the quick format but I wish I would have done the full format to give me a better chance of getting rid of the trojans from the downloaded porn. But, Norton said he didn't find anything and I'm ok with that.

I've found that the full format is always better for a new install, for what ever reason, the quick format doesn't get rid of all the "baddies".
